Philip Horton is a third-year Media Studies major from Columbus, Ohio. He has been around the game of soccer since he was born and started playing at the age of two. He played for the New Albany boys high school soccer team for his freshman and sophomore years, and helped them become district champions in 2016. For his last two years of high school, he played the Columbus Crew S.C Academy where he competed with the best kids in the country every week. He currently plays for the University of Virginia Men’s Soccer Team, and in his first year, he contributed to their ACC tournament victory and their national championship runners-up campaign. Philip loves to serve others and has had a great impact on the Charlottesville community by participating in charity events and mentoring young teens.
